Quality Mark for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine Facilities
The Quality Association for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine (Gütegemeinschaft Einrichtungen der Gefäßchirurgie und Gefäßmedizin e.V.) was founded in 2015. The purpose of the association is to ensure the quality of vascular surgery and vascular medicine facilities and to designate services whose quality has been verified with the ‘Facilities for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine’ quality mark.
This statutory purpose is realised through a set of regulations governing the quality mark. These regulations contain general and specific quality and testing provisions, as well as implementation provisions. Facilities are monitored in accordance with the regulations, or independent auditors or an independent testing institute are commissioned to do so. Users of the quality mark are obliged to label only quality-assured services with the ‘Facility for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine’ quality mark.
