42nd DGG Annual Conference
The 42nd DGG Annual Conference will take place at the Kap Europa Congress Centre in Frankfurt am Main from 23–26 September 2026. The theme is “The Art of Healing, High Tech, Excellence – Shaping Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine. Now!”
The focus will be on key topics that shape our daily work:
Excellence and innovation in vascular surgery as an expression of professional identity
Evidence-based science as the foundation of our practice
Training, further education and professional development as a mission for the future
The restructuring of our healthcare system with all its implications for hospitals, practices and the next generation.

Podcast: A Focus on Vessels
Sexual harassment and abuse of power are not isolated incidents in everyday medical practice. In episode 13 of the podcast ‘Gefäße im Fokus’, Dr Barbara Rantner talks to Dr Susanne Johna about the findings of a nationwide survey conducted by the Marburger Bund, in which 9,000 doctors took part. The focus is on hierarchies, dependencies within specialist training, the reasons why those affected or witnesses remain silent, and the responsibility of hospitals, senior management and Scientific Societies.
