The Young Forum
The Young Forum is the committee for assistant doctors in the DGG. Among other things, its members plan sessions specifically for colleagues in further training and students participating in the MaGiC campaign for each annual conference. As representatives of the young members, they work together with the board and commissions on the DGG's strategy and the further development of the field. Anyone who would like to join is very welcome.
Objectives of the Young People’s Forum
- to support young colleagues on their path to becoming specialists in vascular surgery
- to highlight the appeal and career prospects of vascular surgery to medical students as well
- to develop training programmes and career plans for junior doctors, specialists and young senior doctors
- To provide targeted support for academic engagement in research and teaching
- To improve the predictability of day-to-day surgical work and to facilitate a better work-life balance
- To support young colleagues in networking with one another and in realising their own ideas within their specialist training
