MaGiC – a Scholarship Programme for Medical Students Interested in Vascular Surgery
The MaGIC campaign (“More Junior Doctors in Vascular Surgery”) was launched by the DGG to encourage medical students to consider our exciting speciality.
Apply to take part and enjoy the following benefits: As part of the MaGIC campaign, we put together a dedicated conference programme for you at every DGG annual conference and at the tri-national conferences, covering current topics in training and further education, career opportunities and scientific skills, as well as practical hands-on and suturing courses. We also cordially invite you to the conference events organised by the ‘Young Forum’ representatives of junior doctors. With the MaGiC campaign, you have free admission to the entire conference and all scientific sessions; in this way, we aim to inspire you to embrace vascular surgery as an innovative, exciting and research-intensive discipline.
Participants in the MaGiC campaign will receive a travel allowance of up to €225 for the congress, as well as three nights’ accommodation at the “MaGiC Hotel” (booking via the DGG).
You also have the opportunity to play an active role in our programme: at the annual conference, we are organising the MaGiC Award session, in which students present their research, dissertation and diploma projects in a short, informal talk and thereby apply for the MaGiC Award. To do so, in addition to your application for the MaGiC campaign, please submit your MaGiC abstract via the conference’s abstract platform. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2026; click here to submit: 42nd DGG | Abstract Submission.
The deadline for your application for a place in the MaGiC campaign is also 30 June 2026.
