René-van-Dongen-Travel-Grant

Every year, the DGG awards the René van Dongen Travel Grant. The grant is worth €4,000 and is awarded at the annual conference.

The aim is to deepen practical, theoretical and scientific knowledge in the field of vascular surgery. It supports a work shadowing placement in a clinic, teaching practice or research institution abroad. The scholarship must be taken up by the end of the following year at the latest and concluded with a written report. €3,000 is paid upon presentation of the work experience contract, and €1,000 is paid after completion of the work experience and submission of the report.

The application must include the following:

-	Letter of motivation
-	Curriculum vitae (CV)
-	Letter of recommendation from your supervisor
-	Project description

Criteria for awarding the scholarship:

-	Age < 32
-	Completed university degree
-	Currently undergoing further training to become a specialist in vascular surgery (no management position)
-	Membership of the DGG e.V.
