Julius Springer Award
Vascular medicine is a growing field with increasing importance in the overall concept of diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases. The scientific editorial board of "Gefässchirurgie – Zeitschrift für vaskuläre und endovaskuläre Medizin" (Vascular Surgery – Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Medicine), with members from the German, Austrian and Swiss societies for vascular surgery, works together with Springer-Verlag to support scientific research in this field and, in particular, to promote young talent by awarding the Julius Springer Award for Vascular Medicine. The prize is awarded for a paper published in the journal. All original papers published in the journal during a given year are evaluated. The winner receives a cash prize of €1,000.
