Innovation Award for Care and Healthcare Professions

The ‘Innovation Award for Nursing and Allied Health Professions’ is presented by the German Society for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine in recognition of outstanding and innovative final-year projects or practical initiatives that contribute to maintaining, improving and professionalising nursing care.

The prize was established in 2024 to give greater recognition to nursing and support work in vascular medicine and to highlight scientifically sound advances in clinical practice.

EROP – Success after Surgery

Background and Objectives EROP is a concept designed to boost motivation following surgery. Dependency and a lack of independence can have a negative impact on how the recovery process is perceived. Successes are overlooked and adherence to treatment is reduced. EROP focuses on the areas of treatment, wellbeing, physical activity and self-care. The aim is to promote a broader understanding of success, independent of purely medical criteria.
